Different musical backgrounds make for one hell of a sound
Lead Singer, Keyboards
Becky's years working the Ware and Hertford music scenes have made her a truly relatable front for the band. Always unexpected, crowds love seeing her raw power singing live. Becky also writes lyrics, plays synths and keytar.
Guitarist, Backing Singer
Steve has been part of the Hertfordshire rock scene since, well, forever. Part of the original line up of local pub rock favorites, Final Demand, Steve's playful guitar arrangements make the sound of the band what it is.
Dave formed part of the original Goats line up. As well as playing Bass and singing, Dave has been a key player in writing the Goats original content. He is also known to like understated headgear.
Release date to be announced
Stand Beside Me was not the only song to come out of the Goats' recording session at The Old Chapel studio in Chichester.
Sloth is a deep examination of the feeling of being trapped by those who claim to love you and pulls no punches about the pain and heartbreak this brings.
STAND BESIDE ME
Whatever you think of the way your life is going, the Goats hold out a more hopeful vision of your future in this single about looking forward together rather than backward alone.
ABOUT THE GOATS
Come a long way togther
Originally from Buntingford, Hertfordshire, Smoking Goats and their sound have developed and grown in popularity since 2014.
"We just wanted to start a band. We knew we loved Indie music from the 80s to the present day, so we decided that was the best place to start". Playing local pubs and clubs began an apprenticeship where the Goats honed their sound.
"We only had a set of 12 songs at the beginning. That meant we had to book in other bands and bill ourselves as the support act". Today the Goats headline local festivals and are well known for keeping music lovers dancing the night away for three or more hours.
The Goats are on the rise, catch them at a venue near you.
